Buffalo Fried Pickles

INGREDIENTS
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup self-rising cornmeal mix
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. buffalo wing seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups dill pickle chips, well drained
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a deep fryer or a large dutch oven with a deep-frying thermometer, heat oil to 360.
  2. In a shallow bowl, stir together cornmeal mix, flour, wing seasoning, and black pepper. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine egg and milk.
  4. Dip dill chips in milk mixture and roll in cornmeal mixture.
  5. Fry pickles in batches until golden brown, approximately 3 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
